Activating a project

Activating Power Retro in a project is either done from the Dashboard or from the JIRA Project settings.

Dashboard activation

There are two ways the user can Activate Projects from the Dashboard.

  1. When the Dashboard is empty: meaning no Projects to which the user has access to have been activated yet:

  2. When the Dashboard already has Projects: the Add Projects button moves from the center of the page to the top right corner next to the Show All button

Clicking either the central or the smaller Add Projects button brings up the Add Projects modal in which the user can select the Projects he or she wishes to add to the Dashboard.

  1. Search field - projects can be easily searched through by typing into the Search field

  2. Table of Contents - this is where the not yet activated Projects are listed and where the User can choose which ones to activate with the help of the toggle in the right column.

  3. Save and Cancel buttons - after finishing the selection clicking the Save button will activate and load the activated Projects on the Dashboard. Clicking outside of the modal or on the Cancel button will discard the selection, if any, and close the modal without saving.

JIRA Project Settings activation

You can find the controls under <desired project> → Project settings → Power Retro

With the help of the Retrospective toggle controls, projects can be activated and shown on the Dashboard.

After activating a pop-up message will confirm the success of the operation.

Your Template selector will also initialise itself.

Here you can find default templates and you can create custom ones. The most used badges indicate which ones are used most often.

If a Project is disabled after being active for a while and then enabled again its previous Retrospectives are not lost.
