Project Permissions

Project permissions in JIRA serve for fine tuning access to different parts and functions inside a project. When you install Power Retro, there are several basic JIRA project permissions that you need to grant to all Power Retro users. As well, Power Retro adds some of its own permissions to the ‘Other permissions’ section that you need to grant to Power Retro users.

The user needs to have Jira administrator permissions to grant any of these Project permissions.

To grant project permissions go to [Your project][Project settings on the sidebar][Permissions][Retrospective Permissions]. Here the user can modify the permission scheme associated with their project.

  • Create Retrospective Event - lets the user(s) with this permission to create retrospective boards for the project and launch retrospective events from the Backlog. Only users with this permission can become Facilitators

  • Delete Retrospective Event - lets the user(s) with this permission to delete in progress or completed retrospective events from the Retrospective History

  • Join Retrospective Event - lets the user(s) with this permission to join in progress retrospective events

  • Edit Action Item - lets the user(s) with this permission to edit Action Items on the Dashboard

The user needs to grant these permissions for each JIRA project (with the help of its permission scheme) that Power Retro users are working on.
