The Grouping step helps to create comprehensive Topics by grouping similar Retro Cards together. This helps to identify the key strengths and weaknesses of the previous time period.

  • The Participants and the Facilitator can Drag & Drop any of the cards onto each other to Create a Group. (if the 'only facilitator can create groups is disabled in the event settings) Further cards can also be Dropped into a Group. Users can Dissolve a Group by reducing the number of Cards in the group to 1.

    When a new Group is created it can be named by clicking the “Add Group Name…” field. The user can confirm the new Group name by Enter, Tab or clicking outside of the text field.

  • By default, the group name will be the same as the name of the first card you put in. You can rename it by clicking on the name.

  • You can open/close the created groups by clicking on the arrow button and you can see the number of cards in that group after the group name.

  • When there is already at least one Group created by right clicking a card with the “Send to Group” option it can be sent into that specific Group

  • You can ungroup or delete the created ones by clicking on the more menu and chose the right one

  • To avoid confusion, you can see which cards or groups are dragged by other participants. In that case you can not drag that card or group and you’ll see the following:
